A Taste of CWS: 2 XP Cookies

A Taste of CWS: 2 XP Cookies

Description: Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies. This recipe was given to me by a friend, who made these cookies for game night. The cookies were so fantastic that our game master gave her two experience points, as opposed to the one point, which is usually given for bringing food, hence the name “2 XP Cookies.”

Serving Size: 1 Cookie

Number of Servings: Approximately 40

Cook Time: 1 Hour and 30 Minutes

• 6 Eggs

• 1 lb. Brown Sugar

• 1 ½ tsp. Vanilla Extract

• 4 tsp. Baking Soda

• 1/4 cup Cinnamon

• 1/2 lb. Butter

• 1 ½ lb. Peanut Butter

• 9 cups Oatmeal

• 1/2 lb. Chocolate Chips

• 1 cup Candy (M&Ms, Reese’s Pieces, Nuts, etc.)

Directions: Preheat oven to 385˚F. Combine eggs, brown sugar, vanilla extract, baking soda, cinnamon, butter, and peanut butter with a hand mixer until smooth. Incorporate oatmeal with a rubber spatula (Don't try to use the hand mixer. A good hand mixer died the day I did). Fold in chocolate chips and whatever other mix-in you've chosen. Drop on pre-heated cookie sheet with an ice cream scoop and flatten them with the rubber spatula. The mix will be fairly loose, so the cookies need to be large to cook right. You're best off keeping it to six per batch. Bake in 385˚F oven for 10-12 minutes. Carefully use a large spatula to transfer each cookie to a wire rack to cool and solidify. The cookies will be pretty goopy at first. They will be solid enough to move to a plate within five minutes or so, well before the next batch is done.
