  • What are the additional fees on top of monthly rent?

    We strive to make our pricing as transparent as possible, and each additional fee will be clearly stated in your rental agreement. Additional fees include: 


    - Trash: $45 total - $25 for the city's removal and $20 for the valet trash service 

    - Electric: Based on usage. Residents must create an account with Tacoma Public Utilities (TPU). 

    - Water: Based on the number of bedrooms. $50 for one, $60 for two, and $70 for three 

    - Pet: If applicable, $25 per pet 

    - Parking: If applicable, starting at $100

  • What do I need to qualify for an apartment?

    We're thrilled to hear you want to apply! Each resident must meet certain criteria, including rental, credit, and criminal history checks, as well as employment and income verifications.

    After you have finished your application, you will receive a confirmation email with preliminary approval. To make your approval final, the office team will require a copy of each occupant's photo identification and pay stubs or W2s to confirm income requirements.

  • I've been approved, what's next?

    Congratulations and thank you for choosing Copperline at Point Ruston as your new home!

    Once approved, you will receive a Welcome Home letter from our team with a checklist to complete before moving in. Action items include:

    1. Electronically signing your lease
    2. Setting up your resident portal account
    3. Paying move-in fees and deposits
    4. Sending our team confirmation of your utilities accounts and renters insurance
    5. Setting up your move-in appointment.

    We will stay in contact with you throughout this process and are available to answer any questions you may have to make your move-in as smooth and easy as possible.
  • My move-in date is coming up, what's the move-inprocess?

    Welcome Home to Copperline at Point Ruston! Before your move-in date, we will ensure all required action items have been completed as outlined in the Welcome Home letter. We will then set up a move-in appointment and elevator reservation.

    On your move-in date, we will give you a move-in packet with need-to-know information, hand over your keys, and you can begin moving in!
  • As a resident, where will I park? What about my guests?

    Thanks for your question! Residents may park in our parking garage if they lease a reserved space for $100 per month. Point Ruston does not have street parking residents can use, so if you have a vehicle, you will want to lease a reserved parking spot.

    We have guest parking passes and issue up to 3 passes per month to each apartment at no charge. Additional guest parking passes are available for $10 per day.
  • As a resident, how will I receive packages?

    Packages are delivered to our Luxer package room. Please register online or request an invite from the office. You will receive a code when your package has been delivered and using the code you can access the room to pick-up your package. 


    Any food deliveries, such as DoorDash, UberEats, and grocery deliveries, etc., need to be picked up at the Copperline entrance.

  • What school district is Copperline at Point Ruston in?

    Students at our community attend Tacoma Public Schools. Depending on their grade level, students will go to Sherman Elementary, Truman Middle School, or Stadium High School.
