South Platte River Trail
If you enjoy riverside adventures, be sure to check out the South Platte River Trail. Featuring 18 miles of paved pathway, the trail weaves through downtown Denver and offers easy access to many of metro’s most beautiful parks. Plus, the South Platte River Trail intersects many other recreational trails so you can mix up your run as often as you please.
Colorado Front Range Trail
Denver is a city dedicated to green and sustainable living. There’s no better example of that than the Colorado Front Range Trail. While much of the trail is still in the works, the goal is to connect 15 major Colorado cities for easy biking, commuting, and exploring. For now, many of the trails have already been built and intersect with nearby trails including South Platte River Trail.
Set along the South Platte River, Commons Park features a variety of riverfront amenities. Jog the paved path through the wetlands and grassy areas while taking in the views of the Denver skyline. Make a day of it and bring along a picnic for you and your pup to enjoy under one of the park’s beautiful mature trees.
City of Cuernavaca Park
While jogging along the South Platte River Trail, stop for a breather at City of Cuernavaca Park. Set just north of Commons Park, this small urban park features beautiful mountain and city views as well as picnic tables for an afternoon meal.
